Galicia is undoubtedly one of the best autonomous communities in Spain for summer holidays, among other things because it allows you to escape the mass tourism that is present in other destinations. The best thing about this place, however, is that it offers 1,500 kilometres of coastline, where you can find beaches of all kinds: from wild sandy beaches where you can enjoy nature, to urban beaches with all kinds of services.
If we’ve convinced you to travel to Galicia, we recommend that you don’t miss anything we tell you below, because today we’re going to tell you about the five best beaches in one of its four provinces: Pontevedra. Would you like to join us? We assure you that you won’t regret it!
Rhodes beach
Of course, we have to start by talking about Playa de Rodas, considered by many to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the planet. It is a beautiful sandy beach in the CĂes Islands that offers a paradisiacal landscape.
Melide Beach
A beach that can’t be missing on the list is Melide beach, also known as Cabo Home beach. It is located in Cangas de Morrazo, between the lighthouses of Punta Robaleira and Punta Subrido, right in front of the CĂes Islands. You will love its white sand and its beautiful natural surroundings.
Beach of A Lanzada
Located between O Grove and Sangenjo, A Lanzada Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Galicia. It is ideal for water sports such as surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Samil Beach
We continue our tour of the province of Pontevedra in Vigo, where we find Samil beach, an extensive sandy area full of services. It is also set in an exceptionally beautiful environment.
Beach of Menduiña
Finally, we would like to talk about Menduiña beach, which is located in the paradisiacal RĂa de AldĂĄn. It is a sandy area with calm, crystal-clear waters where it is possible to find various services.
