The province of Barcelona has exactly everything a tourist could wish for: sea, mountains, museums, important buildings and monuments, a wide range of leisure and cultural activities, parks, gardens… What’s more, it is very close to one of the most beautiful coastlines in Spain: the Costa Brava. However, to enjoy good beaches, it is not necessary to travel to the province of Girona.
Today we want to show you five of the best beaches you can find in the province of Barcelona. Would you like to join us?
La Barceloneta, Barcelona
Although all of Barcelona’s beaches are well equipped, well communicated and well maintained, Barceloneta is one of the most popular with locals and tourists alike. It offers excellent sports and leisure facilities and all kinds of services.
Beach of Les Casetes del Garraf, Garraf
We would also like to tell you about Les Casetes del Garraf beach (Las Casetas del Garraf), which is located in the town centre of Garraf. With fine sand mixed with stones, it is surprising for preserving the old fishermen’s huts. However, they have been remodelled.
Beach of San Sebastián, Sitges
Among the best beaches in Sitges is the beach of San Sebastián, the most familiar beach in the municipality. In fact, it is mostly frequented by locals. It is located in a very central area.
Castelldefels Beach
Of course, we must also mention Castelldefels Beach, a 5-kilometre stretch of fine sand where you can enjoy water sports, activities with children, sunbathing, strolling along the renovated promenade and, of course, bathing in its calm waters.
Pont del Petroli, Badalona
Finally, we would like to talk about Pont del Petroli (Oil Bridge), a beach in Badalona that is becoming increasingly popular. It is surprising both for its old bridge, which has recently been renovated, and for the Anís del Mono factory.
