If you live in Tenerife or are planning a trip to the island in the near future, then don’t miss La Tejita beach, one of the most impressive spots on the island.
Located in El MĂ©dano, a village in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, the beach is next to the impressive Montaña Roja, a volcanic cone that will leave you in awe. Would you like to find out more about one of the most beautiful beaches in Tenerife? Then don’t miss out on the following!
Protected natural area
With more than a kilometre in length, La Tejita beach is one of the longest in Tenerife. It is considered a nudist beach, as well as being listed as a protected natural area. For this reason, the parking area is located a little away from the beach. Furthermore, although the beach has an area with parasols and sun loungers, you won’t find any restaurants or bars, so you should be prepared if you plan to spend the day here.
Ideal for water sports
This beach in Tenerife is perfect for surfing and other water and wind sports, such as windsurfing, kitesurfing and bodyboarding, although it is also an ideal place for strolling or relaxing on the sand. You will also greatly enjoy the views of the mountains.
One of the windiest beaches in Tenerife.
The only bad thing about La Tejita is that it is one of the windiest places on the island, although, as we have said, it is an ideal place to contemplate the landscape and relax. We also recommend that you climb the Montaña Roja (Red Mountain) for fantastic views. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of La Tejita beach. Don’t miss it!
