After getting to know some beautiful beaches located in remote places (Barra de Lagoa, Fetovia, El Nido…) today we return to Spain to get to know one of the most beautiful beaches in Asturias, one of the most beautiful communities in the whole country. We are referring to Serantes Beach, which is located in a truly beautiful natural setting.
Located at the mouth of the Tol river, Serantes Beach, also called Sareyo, stands out for being a quiet, family-friendly space. Would you like to find out more about this beautiful Asturian sandy beach? Then don’t miss out on what we’ll tell you below!
A truly beautiful setting
As we have just mentioned, Serantes beach is surrounded by a beautiful setting. It is about 250 metres long and an average of 150 metres wide. The permanent green of the meadows, which contrasts with the golden sand and the slate grey of the stones and rocks, is particularly striking. It is also an area of marshes and dunes.
Water sports
As in many other beaches in the north of the peninsula, some water sports are practised in Serantes, such as surfing and sport fishing. It is also common to see scuba-diving enthusiasts in its waters.
Services and facilities
As far as services and facilities are concerned, we must say that the beach has a surveillance team in summer and a cleaning service. It also has litter bins and a parking area. Finally, we would like to say that at low tide, Serantes is connected to the beach of Mexota. You can also walk to the adjoining beach, El Serrallo.
