Andalusia has a coastline envied by many other Spanish regions thanks to its beaches, its atmosphere, its exquisite gastronomy and its enviable climate during spring and summer.
However, although it retains as much charm as any place in the south, Camposoto beach is an almost wild beach that stretches for more than five kilometres in the Bay of Cadiz Natural Park.
Thus, it is not the typical beach where families or young people go to spend the summer every year, but a place far away from everything else, with a landscape of dunes, marshes and Mediterranean pine trees that have contributed to this beach being considered by many as one of the best in the country. Proof of this is that Camposoto has been awarded the Blue Flag, the European Union’s quality mark.
From this beach you will also enjoy the beautiful view of the Sancti Petri Castle and the Punta del BoquerĂłn, places you must visit if you are in the area.
Its vast expanse of fine white sand is bathed by the clearest and calmest waters you’ve ever seen; all around you can see little more than the wooden path that leads from the natural park to the coast. As a result, this beach is devoid of hotels, restaurants and the typical hustle and bustle of other beaches in CĂĄdiz, where the 24-hour atmosphere is the order of the day.
This is partly due to the large distance that separates Camposoto beach and Castillo beach from the centre of the beautiful town of San Fernando.
