If you are looking for a different place, quiet but with a bit of atmosphere, you should go to Barra beach in Galicia.
Located as it is a few kilometres from the magnificent CĂes Islands, this bay offers privileged views and a natural environment similar to them, considered to be the best beaches in the world.
Barra is perhaps one of the most renowned naturist beaches in Galicia thanks to its magnificent white sand and turquoise blue waters that have little or nothing to envy to those of the paradisiacal Caribbean beaches.
It is located in the middle of the Vigo estuary and protected from the winds thanks to its mountainous surroundings of maritime pine forests and rocks, which also give a very private aspect to the environment. In fact, it’s not exactly easy to reach the beach by road and even less easy to find parking for your vehicle.
The beauty and friendly atmosphere of this nudist beach make it very popular during the summer months, despite the icy waters that will take you a while to get into, the fact that there are very few public toilets and the fact that it will be difficult to place your towel on the beach.
However, the place is worth it. If you go with more people or with your family, take advantage of the opportunity to bring prepared food from home and enjoy a good meal in the shade of the pine trees at the picnic area next to the beach. Don’t worry for those who don’t have much foresight, because you will also find some beach bars very close by.
If you like the area but have not yet dared to try nudism, you can visit the adjoining beach of Viñó, which is actually a second part of Barra and is in fact separated from it only by some rocks on the shore.
