The white beach of yaiza in lanzarote

Lanzarote has wonderful beaches that it would be a complete mistake not to visit. We have already seen some of them, such as Las Conchas beach or El Papagayo beach, and today it is the turn of the one that has become one of the main tourist spots on the island: Playa Blanca.

Despite its name, the beach actually has very soft, dark golden sand bathed by clear blue waters that are one of the great attractions of the area.

The calm sea and warm temperatures almost all year round will make it easy for you to take a dip, especially if you go in with your snorkelling gear ready to discover the island’s beautiful seabed.

The small Playa Blanca stretches about 100 metres long and 8 metres wide and is surrounded by a charming, purely Canarian environment, characterised by the coarse dryness of the dark sand and the dark, contoured rock formations that jut out into the sea.

This coast in the municipality of Yaiza (in the south of the island) has a magnificent offer for tourism, full of leisure and services for you to enjoy a perfect summer holiday. Both on the promenade and its adjacent streets and in the port you will find a large number of beach bars, restaurants, music bars and shops that make the area a perfect place both for families and for visiting with friends.

And when you get tired of sun and beach, there are many interesting activities nearby, such as a visit to the emblematic Timanfaya National Park, La Geria, the Janubio salt flats, El Golfo, Los Hervideros or the village of Yaiza.

You can also visit the beaches of Papagayo, Las Coloradas, Playa Dorada or Playa de la Mulata, for example.
