We start the week in Lanzarote, one of the Spanish islands that most surprises and enchants travellers. Specifically, we move to Arrieta, a coastal village in the municipality of HarĂa, which is located on the rugged northeast coast. Here we find La Garita, one of the best beaches on the island.
Recently renovated, this golden sandy beach offers modern facilities and a pleasant promenade, as well as ideal conditions for surfing. Would you like to find out more about this beach? Then we recommend that you don’t miss anything we tell you below!
A safe beach
Almost 1 kilometre long, La Garita is protected from the strong winds that are characteristic of the area. However, although it is a safe beach, it should not be forgotten that the sea attracts waves that can reach up to one metre in height. Therefore, you should be careful if you go with children.
Modern facilities
As we have just mentioned, this is a beach with modern facilities, including showers, changing rooms and a sports area with a volleyball court and a children’s playground. The most striking feature of the place, however, is its pier-wharf, which is linked to the town centre by a bridge.
A fairly quiet place
Undoubtedly, one of the best things about this beach is its access promenade, where you can find a small and cosy terrace. On the other hand, you should know that it is a fairly quiet place and, therefore, ideal for escaping from beaches overcrowded with bathers. Finally, you should know that the village of Arrieta is home to excellent restaurants specialising in seafood. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of this beach in Lanzarote. Don’t miss it!
