We are talking about La Calera, which is located between the cliffs and the banana plantations of Valle Gran Rey, the second most populated municipality of La Gomera. Calm waters and volcanic sand
La Calera is the largest beach in the tourist town of Valle Gran Rey. It is a kilometre-long stretch of sand with calm waters and volcanic sand. It is undoubtedly an ideal beach for the youngest members of the family, although you will also love it if you are looking to relax or have fun by the sea.
Away from mass tourism
One of the things we like most about La Calera is that it is located in a beautiful natural environment. Moreover, the beach is far from mass tourism. On the other hand, it is important to bear in mind that, thanks to the island’s pleasant climate, you can spend the day on this beach until sunset. If you wish, you can round off your day at the beach with dinner in one of the restaurants that surround La Calera.
