The most hidden cove of the costa brava

Cala-Maset-Costa-Brava
Are you looking for a secluded spot where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the sea and the lapping of the waves? There are several on the Costa Brava, but surely the most peaceful of them all is between Sant Feliu de GuĂxols and Sant Pol de Mar, which is where Cala Maset is located.

Deep waters in a privileged setting

This is a small cove with fairly deep waters located very close to the beach of Sant Pol. To reach it, you have to go down some stairs on one side of the road that goes from Sant Feliu to Sant Pol. In fact, it is also known as Cala del Pont, as the road becomes a kind of viaduct passing over it.

The scenery is spectacular. It is fortunate to be surrounded by the typical vegetation of the area, such as holm oaks, holm oaks and pines. This, together with the fact that it is a tiny beach, makes it a special place that is only visited by those who already know it, those who know that they can escape from the hustle and bustle of the most popular beaches on the Costa Brava.

Sunbathing is not easy

If you are one of those who go to the beach with the aim of getting a tan, I must tell you that Cala Maset is not the most recommendable place. Why? Because its location means that shade reigns for most of the day, although there is always time to dive into the water to catch the sun’s rays.

A rock for the more daring

If you take a dip and swim for about 50 metres, you will see that on the left side there is a rock that invites you to climb up and jump off it. There is no need to worry about running into a rock at close range, as the seabed is more than 6 metres deep and this makes any jump safe.
