Summer has come to an end on the peninsula, but as you know, the Canary Islands will continue to enjoy a pleasant climate for the next few months. So, if you feel like continuing to enjoy the beaches of our country, we recommend that you take a trip to one of the islands. Fuerteventura, for example, is a fantastic choice, as it is a true natural paradise, where you can find sandy beaches for all tastes.
Today we are going to Fuerteventura to show you one of its best beaches. Would you like to join us?
A typical landscape of the Canary Islands
Although black sand beaches are among the most typical landscapes of the Canary Islands, the truth is that in Fuerteventura you can’t find many sandy beaches of this type. One of the few is Gran Tarajal, which is located in the village of the same name, the most prosperous and developed area of the municipality of Tuineje.
A beach with few tourists
As you can discover for yourself by taking a look at the images in our gallery, this is an urban beach with black sand and calm waters which, although it is not very touristy (most visitors are from the island itself), offers very good services: access for people with reduced mobility, children’s playground, showers… It is also surrounded by a promenade with parking, bars, restaurants and cafĂ©s.
Musical and cultural events
Before leaving you with the pictures of Gran Tarajal, we would like to mention that musical and cultural events take place here throughout the year. A good example is the re-enactment of the landing of the English at the Battle of Tamasite. Here is our gallery, where you will find more pictures of this beach in Fuerteventura, don’t miss it!
