What do you say we kick off the weekend from one of the most beautiful corners of Spain? Great, isn’t it? Well, here we go! Today we’re in Asturias, an autonomous community full of amazing beaches: Penarronda, Serantes, Rodiles, Mexota, Xago… We’ve already told you about these and many other beaches on this website, but we still have more areas of the Asturian coastline to discover.

Today, for example, we would like to tell you about the beach of Frejulfe, which is located in the council of Navia. Would you like to discover it in more depth? Well, all you have to do is join us!

One of the most beautiful beaches in Navia

As its name suggests, the beach is close to the village of Frejulfe, also called Frexulfe, where the river of the same name flows into the sea. Not only is it the largest beach in the council, but it is also one of the most beautiful, and here you can find a coastal path with a wooded area, a dune system, cliffs and the mouth of a stream. In addition, it is important to bear in mind that it is home to animal and botanical species of great value.

Bathing can be dangerous

On the other hand, we would like to point out that due to its location and the fact that it is an open beach, bathing can be dangerous. In fact, it is common for the bathing area to be restricted due to the intense currents and strong waves. For this reason, it is a highly recommended place for surfing.

Toilet facilities and lifeguard team

Finally, it is important to bear in mind that the beach has toilets and a lifeguard team. Below we leave you with our gallery, where you will find more images of this beach located in Asturias, which we recommend you not to miss!
