Are you thinking of spending your summer holidays in Majorca and would you like to make a getaway to this beautiful Balearic island? Then you should be aware of the beaches that are worth visiting. As we want to give you a hand, today we want to tell you about one of the most beautiful ones. We are referring to Platja Es Caragol, also known as Platja d’es Caragol, an unspoilt sandy beach located 7 kilometres from Ses Salines, in the municipality of SantanyĂ.
Considered to be the southernmost beach in Mallorca, Es Caragol stands out for its natural aspect and for being quite isolated. Would you like to get to know it better? Well, all you have to do is come with us!
The natural charm of Mallorca’s beaches
As you can see for yourself by taking a look at our gallery, Es Caragol is an unspoilt beach, so it still preserves the natural charm of this area of the Mallorcan coast. Here you will find white sands and crystal-clear waters. The best thing is that, thanks to the fact that it is quite isolated and has limited access, its level of occupation is usually moderate even in high season.
No services of any kind
As we have already mentioned, this is a virgin beach, so don’t expect to find any kind of service here. In fact, there is not even a beach bar, so it is important that you take food and drinks with you, especially if you are making the excursion in the middle of summer.
Access to the beach
You have two options for getting to this wonderful beach. On the one hand, you can go on foot from the Ses Salines lighthouse (a 1.5-kilometre walk). On the other, you can get there by boat. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of this beautiful Mallorcan beach. Don’t miss it!
