The carbassi a beach of important ecological value in alicante

Carabassi Alicante
After getting to know some of the best beaches in Europe (Praia do Guincho in Portugal, Fig Tree Beach in Cyprus, Anthony Quinn Bay in Greece…), how about finishing the week by getting to know a beautiful beach in our country? Specifically, today we are in Alicante, one of the Spanish provinces with the most blue flags.

As you can imagine, in its more than 218 kilometres of calm, crystal-clear waters you can find beaches of true beauty. One of them is El Carbassí, a fairly isolated sandy area under the mountain range of the same name, in Elche. Would you like to find out more about this beach in Alicante? Well, you’ll have to come with us!

Fine golden sand

As you can see in the images we offer you in the gallery, the beach of El Carbassí is made up of beautiful fine golden sand that stretches for about 900 metres. Although the beach is quite sheltered and isolated (it has no promenade), in summer it is usually full of people. However, as it is quite large, you will hardly feel crowded.

A valuable natural environment

Undoubtedly, the best thing about this beach is its valuable natural environment. El Carbassí is surrounded by pine groves, high recent dunes and fossil dunes. As if that were not enough, here you will find crystal-clear water, although cooler than in other corners of the Mediterranean. On the other hand, you should bear in mind that this beach has a nudist area.

All kinds of services

El Carbassí beach has all kinds of services (deckchair hire, beach bar, toilets, footbaths, lifeguard…), as well as a large parking area connected to the shore by footbridges. As if that were not enough, there is an area for water sports. Here we leave you with our gallery, where you will find more images of El Carabassí beach. Don’t miss it!
