Discover the virgin beaches of donana

After a few days touring some of the most amazing beaches in the world, today we are looking forward to returning to the Spanish coast. Now that we are all back to the routine, we can’t find a better way to see our country than through the beaches, one of the best treasures we have within our borders.

Without a doubt, you can find beautiful beaches all over Spain, but today we want to stay in Andalusia, specifically in Matalascañas, where, in addition to enjoying a great atmosphere and a wide range of services, you can visit the Doñana Nature Reserve. Here you will find some beautiful and unspoilt beaches that are well worth a visit. Would you like to know a little more about them? Maybe you will consider this place as a destination for your next holiday!
This is the last unspoilt area of the Spanish coastline, with almost forty kilometres stretching between the mouth of the Guadalquivir River and the municipality of Matalascañas in Huelva. The force of the south-westerly wind introduces a great dynamic into the sands that constantly modifies the profile of the beaches and is the origin of the mobile dunes. In fact, Doñana preserves one of the few mobile dune systems existing in the Peninsula. Its beaches can only be reached on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback.

There are many magical spots along the coast of Doñana, but we would like to mention Torre del Loro Beach, with its fine golden sands, where you can see the remains of an old watchtower. However, you won’t find much peace and quiet there, as it is located next to the Doñana Playa campsite.

It’s certainly worth going a few kilometres away from the bustling Matalascañas to enjoy the solitude accompanied by the unique sounds of nature.
