Concha bolonia islas cies most beautiful beaches in spain

If last week we told you about the two best beaches for the readers of “20 minutos” (Playa Grande de Miño and Playa de Carnota), today we are going to talk about the most beautiful beaches for Spaniards according to the IV Spanish Travel Habits Report, elaborated by the portal Muchoviaje.com.

Would you like to know which beaches in Spain have been chosen by the users of the Internet portal? Would you like to take advantage of the last few days of summer left to take a dip in one of the most popular beaches? Well, here are the results of the report!

Bolonia beach, the first Andalusian beach to be on the podium

The beaches of Bolonia, La Concha and the Cíes Islands have been considered by Spaniards as the most beautiful. The first of the aforementioned deserves a special mention, as it has managed to place itself among the top positions, becoming the first beach in the south to make it onto the podium.

Other beaches mentioned by respondents were Playa de las Catedrales in Lugo, La Barrosa in Cádiz, Maspalomas in Gran Canaria, El Sardinero in Santander and Cala Macarelleta in Menorca.

Menorca and the Costa Brava

If we focus on the Spanish regions, it must be said that the most frequently mentioned are the island of Minorca and the Costa Brava as a whole, thanks to the various coves they offer, which are truly spectacular.

Favourite coastal areas

The study also talks about the favourite coastal areas for Spaniards. However, few changes can be glimpsed here, as the five regions selected in 2012 remain the same: the Costa de la Luz tops the ranking with 16% of the votes, followed by the Costa del País Vasco with 13%, which rises from fifth to second place obtained the previous year.

On the other hand, the Galician coasts are the third most beautiful for users, 12% ahead of the Balearic Islands (10%) and the Valencian Community which, with 8% of the votes, loses the leadership it held last year and falls to fifth position.
