Calobra a quiet beach in mallorca

A series of tunnels excavated under the rock give us access to the marvellous beach of Sa Calobra, a gift for the eyes of those fortunate enough to reach this private beach in Mallorca by land or by sea.

A small space of only 80 metres long and 10 metres wide constitutes the coquettish beach of Sa Calobra, which offers an irresistible Mediterranean image: incredible waters of intense turquoise that rush over the rocks of the shore, surrounded by a coast of sand, natural gravel and pebbles that is framed by large rocky mountains full of bushes, flowers, elms and pine trees typical of the Mediterranean.

With their idyllic image, it is not surprising that the cliffs of Torrent de Pareis and Sa Calobra have inspired various artists and have been used as a film set, as the simple fact of stepping on their sand or taking a dip in their waters is a joy for the body.

This beach is a rather private place, and tourists can only access it by leaving their car a few metres from the beach and walking, or by taking one of the golondrinas that take you up to it from Port de Soller. Without a doubt, we recommend you leave your car for a day and enjoy the immensity of the Mediterranean Sea on one of these boats, which will take you to the best beaches on the island, avoiding, as in this case, 13 kilometres of curves.

Sa Calobra, once almost inaccessible to humans, now offers a hotel and several restaurants. Fortunately, the beach continues to protect itself from the hustle and bustle, stress and wild tourism to preserve the charm of a beauty reserved for only a few.

If you go on holiday to this Balearic island, you can’t miss this beach!
