What do you think if we move to the spectacular island of Mallorca? With more than 120 beaches and coves along its coastline, it has something for everyone. There are even alternatives for those who are looking for peace and quiet and enjoy unspoilt spots. Unspoilt beaches such as Cala Torta, Es Trenc or Cala Tuent are proof of this, preserving the authentic beauty of the Balearic Islands.
Today we want to tell you about Cala Tuent, a little-known beach that is well worth a visit, and you won’t regret it!
Lush pine forests
Cala Tuent is located some 40 kilometres from SĂłller, between Punta da sa Corda and Morro des Forra, and below Puig Major, the highest peak in the Balearic Islands. In reality, it is a sea inlet that has excavated some two hectometres inland, leading to a semicircular beach between rocky outcrops and leafy pine groves.
Boulders and gravel
Another of the characteristics of Cala Tent are the pebbles and coarse gravel that make up the beach. And unlike many other corners of the island, the sea conditions make it unadvisable to anchor boats, as the place is exposed to dangerous winds.
The Sa Costera route
It is important to point out that Cala Tuent is the end of the Sa Costera route, a long and very beautiful excursion that runs along the Tramuntana to SĂłller. For some it is the most beautiful hike on the island. Also, very close by is the cove of Cala sa Calobra, much more touristy than Cala Tent, with different establishments to make your stay on the beach much more comfortable.
We leave you with the pictures of the beach for you to enjoy the scenery.
