Have you already decided what you are going to do at Easter? Without a doubt, one of the best options is to stay in Spain, which has plenty of wonderful places to discover. If you prefer to leave the country, you can also visit some of the marvellous corners of the Mediterranean Sea. Whichever way you choose, we suggest you start the beach season during the holidays. Don’t you think it’s a good idea?
A great option is to spend Easter Week in one of the beautiful spots on the Costa Brava, such as Roses, for example. Here you’ll find one of the best beaches in Spain: the Montjoi cove. Would you like to discover it? Then don’t miss out on the following!
Location
Montjoi cove, which is 300 metres long, is located in the Cap de Creus Natural Park, seven kilometres from the municipality of Roses. As you can see in the pictures, the beach is surrounded by mountains belonging to the Pyrenees. Cala Montjoi is shaped like a croissant and, as you can see, it is quite enclosed, which makes it a beach with calm waters, few waves and little wind due to its location. It is, however, a dark beach.
In reality, Cala Montjoi is made up of 2 distinct beaches: a main beach and a smaller adjoining beach, which is only about 50 m long, Cala CalĂs. Like the rest of the beaches in the area, it has a rocky surface, so it is best to be well equipped.
Services and infrastructures
Although it is not very crowded, it is the cove where the famous Bulli, Ferran AdriĂ ’s restaurant, is located. In fact, this cove is located next to a tourist complex that provides services and infrastructures, such as a diving school, camping, accommodation, parking and other restaurants.
