The best beaches on the costa brava in spain

It is a beach in the purest Mediterranean style. With waters that do not envy those of the paradisiacal beaches of the Caribbean and an incomparable natural environment, the beach of Cala LlevadĂł is a small gift of nature that we can enjoy if we go to Tossa de Mar, in Gerona (Catalonia).

Cala LlevadĂł is 65 metres long and 35 metres wide, proudly surrounded by the dense vegetation typical of the Mediterranean coast: huge mountains of pines and cork oaks that reach down to the sea and frame it in small coves like this one.

Like most of the beaches on the Costa Brava, this small cove boasts crystal-clear turquoise waters and soft golden sand that is a pleasure to lie on in summer.

The area in which Cala LlevadĂł is located has traditionally been a fishing area, so you’ll find small fishing boats dotted here and there in the surrounding area, and pretty houses behind the pine trees that don’t follow any pattern, which makes it even more charming.

Despite not being a very big place, the level of occupation of this beach is usually high in the summer season, when thousands of Spanish and foreign tourists stay in the hotels and campsites in the area to enjoy the always pleasant climate of the Catalan Costa Brava and the familiar atmosphere of small towns like this one.

If you have time, we recommend you visit other beaches in Tossa de Mar such as Cala Pola, Cala Giverola, Cala de Sa Futadera or El Codolar, for example.
