Just because summer is over doesn’t mean that we can’t continue to enjoy our beaches. In fact, during the first weeks of autumn the Mediterranean Sea even allows us to take a pleasant dip. And even if it’s not for bathing, the beaches of our coasts are perfect for strolling and enjoying the scenery.
Today we want to tell you about one of those beaches that you can still enjoy in September and even during the first weeks of October. We are referring to Cala del Pi, located in Platja d’Aro. Would you like to discover it? Well, all you have to do is join us!
An intimate sandy beach
Platja d’Aro offers magnificent beaches, but if what you are looking for is an intimate beach, then we recommend that you opt for some of its coves and, in particular, for Cala del Pi, a small cove surrounded by rocks and Mediterranean vegetation that offers crystal-clear waters that invite you to take a dip.
Protected by rocky promontories
Located about 10 minutes from Platja Gran, Cala del Pi is on one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the whole of Girona. In fact, along the way you will pass other beaches that are well worth a visit, such as Cala de Sa Cova and Cala Rovira. It is protected by rocky promontories on both sides. You should also know that on the right there is an islet that you can swim to.
A beach without services
It is important to bear in mind that this beach does not offer any kind of service, so you will have to be well prepared if you want to spend the day. However, this does not mean that it is completely natural, as it has buildings as a backdrop, including a beautiful hotel. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of this beautiful cove in Platja d’Aro. Don’t miss it!
