Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful spots in Andalusia is the Cabo de Gata-NĂjar Natural Park, which offers isolated spaces in which to enjoy the tranquillity and the beautiful natural surroundings. Best of all, any time of year is a good time to discover this unique enclave by the sea, including winter, when you will hardly find a trace of human presence.
Today we are going to this beautiful natural park to discover the Cala de la Media Luna, one of the most beautiful coves in Almeria, and all you have to do is join us!
Crescent-shaped
As you can imagine from its name, the cove we are showing you today is crescent-shaped. It is a sandy cove surrounded by rock formations that will serve to protect you from the sun. It may not be as spectacular as other beaches in the park, but it is also worth discovering.
A beach without services
With fine grey sand, this protected enclave stands out for its crystal-clear waters. However, it is important to bear in mind that this is a virgin beach, so it does not offer any kind of service or facilities. For this reason, you should come well-prepared from home.
Never crowded
Cala de la Media Luna is accessed from the road to the western beaches that leaves San JosĂ© (it is the next beach after Monsul). Like most of the beaches in this area, it is very popular during the summer. However, unlike other beaches in the natural park, it is never crowded. Perhaps this is due to the fact that it is a little further away. We leave you with our gallery below, where you will find more images of the Cala de la Media Luna cove. Don’t miss it!
