Although we are at the end of August, there are still a few days left to enjoy the coast of our country which, fortunately for everyone, is extensive and very varied. Undoubtedly, Ibiza is the place par excellence for celebrities to go on holiday and the truth is that it is not surprising because the island of Ibiza is ideal for travelling with family, as a couple or with friends.
Ibiza has many places to discover, but today we want to show you Cala BenirrĂ s, a beach with a hippy spirit that has won over David Cameron himself, the British Prime Minister, who visited it earlier this year. Would you like to join us?
Port de BenirrĂĄs
Known by local fishermen as Port de BenirrĂĄs because of its enclosed bay structure, this beautiful Ibizan beach is located in a natural setting of singular beauty. It has a lush forest through which wind paths that will delight hikers.
Hippie territory
Cala BenirrĂĄs is 9 kilometres from Sant Joan and is known as hippy territory. Here you will find craft sellers, music and beach bars to enjoy the summer, especially when the ritual of sunset arrives. On Sunday afternoons, you can also enjoy the “night of the drums”, a unique experience. As if that were not enough, the cove is surrounded by restaurants and beach bars where you can eat without any problem.
An idyllic refuge
It is a small cove, about 140 metres long and 30 metres wide. It can only be reached by car, following the signs from San Miguel, although on Sundays it is very difficult to find parking in the area. If it weren’t for the fact that it is becoming increasingly fashionable, it would be an idyllic retreat in which to admire the beautiful sunset. Even wealthy yachtsmen come to this cove to view this natural space from their spacious yachts.
