Aiguafreda a beautiful cove in begur

If you have had the opportunity to visit any of the towns on the Costa Brava, you are sure to be amazed by its incredible beaches and coves, with crystal-clear waters, a rich seabed and surrounded by a privileged natural environment.

One of the best spots you can find in this area of the Catalan coast is the cove of Aiguafreda, in Begur, in the Baix EmpordĂ  region. Although its sandy area is very small, it is well worth a visit for its extraordinary beauty. In this small port, protected from the wind, you can enjoy an intense underwater sporting activity. In fact, it is one of the most popular diving spots on the Costa Brava, where you can find different diving courses.
If you are looking to sunbathe, you can do so in a small sandy enclosure or on the side of the jetty with deckchairs, as the ground is flat and hard. As you can imagine, a swim in its spectacular waters is an unforgettable experience thanks to the quality of its seabed and the beauty of the mounds that surround the cove and the impressive view of the reflected pine tree tops.

As well as being adapted for the disabled and wheelchair users, this cove of 25 metres and a width of 15 metres has other types of services, such as showers and a restaurant with rooms in the summer season, where you can enjoy a good pica a pica at midday and a quiet drink in the evening.

However, Aiguafreda has a small drawback. As its name indicates (cold water), the temperature of the water is not entirely pleasant. Even so, a dip in summer is a real pleasure.
