Have you heard of ValdoviƱo? It is a municipality located in the region of Ferrol, A CoruƱa, which surprises both for its natural and historical-artistic heritage. However, from our point of view, its main attraction is its beaches. This town offers 25 kilometres of coastline, with a wide variety of options: sandy beaches with all kinds of services, small unspoilt coves hidden between cliffs, large beaches with fine white sand… In short, whatever your tastes, in ValdoviƱo you will find your ideal beach.
As you might have guessed, today we are going to move to ValdoviƱo to discover one of its most beautiful beaches. We are referring to the beach of A Frouxeira, which this year has achieved the coveted Blue Flag, and it is not the first one to do so! In fact, the first time it achieved it was in 1993. Would you like to find out more details? Well, all you have to do is join us!
Fine white sand
A Frouxeira beach stretches for three kilometres, offering fine white sand and alternating a small semi-urban area with others that are less crowded and that reach the lighthouse, one of the main attractions of the municipality. Therefore, this sandy area offers plenty of space both for bathing and for strolling.
Open sea, strong waves and constant winds.
In A Frouxeira you can enjoy the same conditions that are repeated in almost all the Valdovignian coastline: open sea, strong waves and constant winds. For this reason, it is perfect for water activities such as surfing and bodyboarding. Before we say goodbye, we would like to comment that here you will find the following services: litter bins, toilets, showers, lifeguards, cleaning, transport, catering and camping. It is also accessible for people with reduced mobility.
