Climate change is a threat and pollution caused by carbon dioxide emissions threatens to destroy the environment, but despite this we can still find paradises on planet Earth.
I’ll tell you about five of them below. They are five spectacular beaches that I recommend you visit at least once in your life, as you will hardly forget them.
Flamenco Beach (Culebra Island, Puerto Rico)
Culebra Island is lucky enough to have one of those tropical beaches that you see in travel magazines. You have to take a ferry to get there, which costs US$2.25 each way. When you arrive at Flamenco Beach, you’ll be amazed by its turquoise waters and fine white sand, which doesn’t burn. The scenery is incredible, ideal for a great souvenir of the Caribbean.
Praia da Salema (Algarve, Portugal)
In the south of Portugal, in the well-known area of the Algarve, Praia da Salema is one of the most beautiful beaches you can find in these parts. It is in a pretty fishing village of the same name and has all the ingredients to enjoy a nice day out, as after a swim you can stroll along the promenade and finish off the evening in one of the restaurants that serve fish and seafood.
Gala Gonone (Sardinia, Italy)
What can we say about Sardinia that hasn’t already been said? It is the favourite island of many Europeans who only want to enjoy the sun and the beach in summer. Cala Gonone, which by the way is a coastal town, is home to beaches and coves such as Cala Luna, Cala Fuili and the Grotta del Bue Marino. The former can be reached by boat if you decide to take an excursion, which is highly recommended. You will feel isolated, so you won’t find it hard to relax.
Jagodna Bay (Hvar, Croatia)
Croatia is emerging as a fantastic tourist destination thanks to islands like Hvar. In this case, Jagodna Bay attracts your attention because you access it through a kind of tunnel that has been created naturally between the mountains. Its waters are crystal clear and there are plenty of rocks, so don’t hesitate and take your snorkelling or diving equipment with you to see the seabed in great detail.
Ses Salines (Ibiza, Spain)
I could not finish this article without mentioning a Spanish beach. Ses Salines, in Ibiza, is one of my favourites. It is because from time to time you need more than just peace and quiet. If you’re looking for a good time, you’ll find it at the beach bars on this sandy beach, which bid farewell to the evenings with a session of music to be savoured.
