5 paradise beaches in menorca

Cala-Presili-Menorca
It doesn’t matter if you go to Menorca on holiday hundreds of times. You will always want to return to an island that has something special, that captures you from the first moment with its natural charms, which are obviously the beaches.

I have to say that it is not easy to choose 5 paradisiacal beaches because there are so many, but in my humble opinion, based on my own experience, the best ones are the ones mentioned below.

Turqueta Cove

Cala-TurquetaI have to admit that Cala Turqueta is my favourite. Its turquoise waters are responsible for giving it its name, and the truth is that whoever gave it its name was not at all wrong. You can see for yourself after parking your car in the car park, which is a 10-minute walk away. Is it too much? I assure you it is not, because it is well worth the effort.

Macarelleta Cove

Cala-MacarelletaCala Macarella’s little sister is a virgin beach that has become one of the most popular on the island. This explains why it is so difficult to stretch out your towel on the sand during the months of July and August. Despite this, and the fact that the car park is a good walk away, I recommend that you visit it at least once in your life.

TrebalĂșger Cove

Cala-TrebalugerIt is about 20 minutes’ walk from Cala Mitjana (another spectacular beach) and has all the charms that anyone hoping to find peace and quiet is looking for. It is not one of the most crowded beaches in Menorca, and yet it has all the ingredients to surprise you.

Presili cove

Cala-Presili-playaAre you sure it’s not the Caribbean? That’s what more than one person wonders when they set foot on the sand of Cala Presili, a magical spot where you can enjoy an unforgettable day of sun and beach, practising nudism and disconnecting from all the problems you left behind when you packed your suitcases.

Sa Mesquida Cove

Cala-Sa-MesquidaI have to say that this is one of my favourite Minorcan beaches, although it is not one of those that travel agencies usually recommend. In Cala Sa Mesquida there is plenty of parking, you won’t have any problems to place your towel and you can order drinks and snacks in two beach bars that compete with each other. It’s a crystal-clear beach in the southeast of the island with a lifeguard on duty.
