If you are thinking of spending your holidays in the Valencian Community this summer, I recommend that you go to Racó de Mar Beach, which in my opinion is the best of all the beaches you can find in the province of Valencia.
It is in a small municipality called Canet de Berenguer and we could say that it is very easy to feel like in a fishing village far away from the big city, even though it is only 30 minutes away from Valencia city by car.
A large beach with plenty of services
One of the main attractions of this beach is the lighthouse, from which the 1,250-metre long and 80-metre wide beach can be seen.
The sand is fine and soft, with crystal-clear waters that invite you to snorkel and see the seabed clearly. In addition, there is also a small chain of dunes that is perfect for a photo session.
Safety is guaranteed thanks to two watchtowers, a medical dispensary, ambulance and pharmacy. It has all kinds of services such as an access point designed for disabled people. It is like a wooden plank walkway that not only marks the path, but also has toilets, changing rooms and showers.
More than just beach and sand
What else can be said about Racó de Mar Beach? Well, it has a 1,400-metre-long promenade that allows you to contemplate all its beauty. In addition, it is not difficult to find bars, restaurants, hotels, flats, parking area, sports facilities and a tourist information point.
Finally, it is also worth mentioning that there is a weekly street market and a marina that offers all kinds of activities, such as kayaking, windsurfing or dinghy sailing.
