It is said that the beaches of the Canary Island of Lanzarote are some of the most beautiful in the archipelago, and despite the fact that their origin is as volcanic as all the others, their sand is mysteriously tinged with gold.
The beaches of Yaiza are a clear example of this, and in fact this coastal area is one of the island’s favourite tourist spots. If you want to get to know some of its beaches and plan your route around the area, take a look at some of the best ones, which are as follows:
-Playa Blanca: This is not the first time we have talked about it, and its beauty makes it irresistible. The fine, almost white sand is dotted here and there by some rocks and bathed on the shore by clean, clear waters, all of this, of course, with a good environment as far as leisure and services are concerned.
– Papagayo: It is almost better than the previous one, and in addition to its excellent natural characteristics, it is a perfect place to relax thanks to its mountainous surroundings. As additional information, this beach has a paying car park and nudism can be practised here.
– Playa Dorada: This is the typical Spanish coastal area, with fine artificial golden sand (almost white) on which hundreds of sun loungers, umbrellas and beach bars line the beach. It is a good area for water sports.
– Janubio: Located next to the lagoon of the same name, this beautiful virgin beach of dark sand can be a bit dangerous for bathing considering the strength of the sea in the area. Nevertheless, it is well worth a visit to this protected natural area.
Other beaches worth visiting are Flamingo, La Mulata, La Campana, Montaña Roja or El Golfo.
